The Indian Partnership Act, 1932

India's law of partnership — what a partnership, a partner and a firm are, partnership at will, the mutual rights and duties of partners, a partner's implied authority and the firm's liability to third parties, minors admitted to the benefits of partnership, incoming and outgoing partners, dissolution of a firm and the settlement of accounts, registration of firms and the effect of non-registration. An Act to define and amend the law relating to partnership.

WHEREAS it is expedient to define and amend the law relating to partnership; it ishereby enacted as follows:—

India Code's text has no cover date; it carries the Indian Partnership (Amendment) Act, 1983 in full, cites the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 in its footnotes, and prints the Goa, Daman and Diu, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Gujarat State amendments under sections 3, 57, 58, 59, 67, 68 and 69 and Schedule I. Section 73 and Schedule II were repealed in 1938.
